If you need to discuss a medical problem about your child, call our office at (504) 885-4141 during office hours. If your child has a serious medical problem and our office is closed, call our 24-hour, 7-day answering service at (504) 457-2973. Leave your name and telephone number. A doctor will return your call as soon as she can. Our office staff has been trained to answer most medical questions you might have. The nurses relay your child's problem to one of our doctors, and their recommendations to you are based on the doctor's instructions to them. If a nurse cannot answer your questions, she will have the doctor return your call as soon as possible. Your child can be properly diagnosed and treated in our office. In order to provide your child with the most effective treatment possible, the doctors must see the child, listen to his or her chest, look at his or her ears and throat, and perhaps perform tests using special equipment in our office. This is why your child might need to visit our office for the professional treatment he or she deserves instead of receiving a diagnosis over the phone. We will try to schedule you at the best available time for you on that day if your child needs to be seen. You also can contact our nurses via email with non-urgent medical questions.
